                                Monthly LIVE Kind Guidance Lessons

Each month, Fabuion will focus on an important theme centered around pro-social behaviors that counselors and teachers will present to our students. These lessons and vocabulary come from the Live Kind SEL curriculum adopted by MISD and are in line with the Texas Model that aligns with Faubion's Comprehensive School Counseling program. Our goal is for all students at Faubion to learn, understand, utilize and become empowered with these components that positively impact all areas of students' lives.

McKinney ISD has implemented its initiative called, “
Live Kind!” Kindness is possible when individuals possess the following key skills: Collaboration, Active Listening, Self-Regulation & Coping Skills, Empathy, and Speaking with Positive Intention. Students will learn from their teachers and counselor about what it means to be kind through different “CASES” lessons each month. Students, staff and parents will have opportunities to join in on the “Live Kind” movement whether it is doing random acts of kindness, donating materials or time for others, and being a part of a club or group that plans “Faubion Lives Kind” projects. Parents and teachers will be able to tweet pics of their child performing acts of kindness to #FMSLivesKind or send pictures to us. Dr. Rick McDaniel will be looking for students that stand out as Live Kind Student Champions at the end of the school year.

MISD Counselors champion the core beliefs of MISD through a focus on:
